Femke and Nick

Our first wedding of the 2019 season.

Our first wedding of the 2019 season was a special one, where the stunning Femke Starmans married Nick Meijer at Bronzzzano beach club in Estepona. Femke and Nick were great to work with from the start, Nick's wicked sense of humour and Femke's warm personality and charm make the perfect combination, they were made to compliment each other! At Just over 2m tall, Nick is one big Dutchman, with an even bigger heart and he looked rather dapper in his suit, which is just as well, as his family Business is Meyer and Meyer,  quality gentlemans clothing stores, famous in the Netherlands. 

The day started of with a little stress for us all, as the weather took a turn for the worse, heavy rain and winds throughout the morning, right through until 2pm, with the wedding due to start at 4pm! Our team held back for a while, contemplating a "plan b", but the rain stopped, so we proceeded to set up the outdoor ceremony and hope for the very best, the rain stayed away! The guests arrived and although a little windy, the clouds were clearing, the Bride had instructed Spanish guitarist Nicolas to play her down the isle to "here comes the Sun" and when she arrived, as if by pure magic, the sun came out, staying put for the rest of the day! Minister Kurt performed the ceremony and after they enjoyed a cocktail hour with Latin music by Latino Turner.

Our first wedding of the 2019 season and we wish the amazing Mr and Mrs Meijer, all the very best for a long, exciting future together. 

We did a Midnight sparkler shot too!

The day started with a ceremony in the park, a cocktail hour on the roof terrace, followed by a three course dinner in the restaurant. Then, they took to the dancefloor where Dj Tristan Harper rocked the decks and Demian Arroyo gave his all on the sax! Our florist Bunches provided for the flowers, all other decoration, audio equipment, led floor, lighting and of course, wedding coordination was done by the Marbella Bride team, we sprinkled a little of our magic over the whole thing! Go Fotomaton provided a photo booth, which proved to be very popular.  This was an "Unplugged wedding", where mobile phones were banned throughout the day, something we think other brides should consider! There were no waving of mobiles spoiling the picture, no selfie takers and nobody on social media, so the guests socialised so much better for it! 

A great party with Demian Sax and Dj Tristan ended the celebrations in style!
